He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nicholas and Mary Isabelle Redmond (McAtee); his siblings, Edward and Patricia; and his pets, Buckles, Saturn and Miles.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Meyer; his children, Cecilia Norris (Andy), Mary Patricia Paulsen (Jarrod), Jim Redmond (Angela) and Michael Redmond (Aunum Akhter); his grandchildren, Aileen, Alec, Carly Norris, Mia Babcock, Nicholas, Taylor and Ethan Redmond; and his siblings, Jack Redmond (Marcia), Bill Redmond (Shirley Raye), Cathy Feltz (Nick) and Betty Redmond.
