He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sandman and Jean Sandman (Ahmann); his sisters, Margaret and Patricia; his grandson Brody; his father-in-law Earl Shook; his brother-in-law Manny Garcia; and his nephew Mike Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Sandman of Sioux City; his children, Sara Gunderson (Bart) of Hubbard, NE, Kristy Sandman of Sioux City, Tom Sandman (Aimee) of Dakota Dunes, SD, Matt Sandman (Kasey) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Aaron Sandman (Kelli) of Vadnais Heights, MN; his grandchildren, Hailey of Madison, T. J., Jaxson, Jayde, Dylan, Josie, Beckham and Max; and his siblings, James Sandman (Rita), Mary Garcia, Mark Sandman (Kerry) and Peter Sandman (Janelle). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Trinity Heights – Queen of Peace, or to Siouxland Freedom Park.
