She was predeceased by: her father James Wanned; her sister Alonna Schade; and her parents-in-law, Albert and LaMorn Whitenack. She is survived by: her mother Donna Wanned (Barr) of Denison; her children, Heather (Bill Bates) of Bismark, Billy Whitenack (Cathy) of Arion, Shane Whitenack (Sandy) of Mason City and Heath Whitenack of Schleswig; and her siblings, James H. Wanned of Sioux City and Barbara J. (Tom Wissing) of Bentonville, Arkansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
