He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hettinger of Le Mars; his daughter Ashley Den Ouden (Brent) of Maurice, IA; his grandchildren, Addison, Braelynn, Kylee and Brynlee; his daughter Shannon Jensen (Seth) of Le Mars, IA; his grandchild Sydney; his son Nate Hettinger (Olivia) of Lakeland, FL; his siblings, John Hettinger (Stephanie) of Alexander, AR, Bill Hettinger of Broomfield, CO, Ruth Jeambey (Jon) of Naperville, IL, Steve Hettinger (Ryan) of Bolingbrook, IL and Joe Hettinger (Shannon) of Downers Grove, IL; his mother-in-law Darlene Kistenmacher of Holstein, IA; his in-laws, Karen Wessling (Doug) of Holstein, IA and Jim Kistenmacher (Kris) of Holstein, IA; and his pet Piper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
