He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Monahan and Benetta Monahan (Crowe); his son Michael Kelly; his sister Benetta Guldy; his brother-in-law Pete Thomsen; his nephew Paul Thomsen; his brother James; his sister-in-law Ramona Withee; and his nephew Kevin Withee.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Withee; his daughters, Michelle Hand (Stacy) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Melanie Eriksen (Kurt) of Homer, NE and Kathy Moreno (Jerry) of Sioux City, IA; his stepson Jeff Sutton (April) of Lincoln, NE; his grandchildren, Alyssa Brodersen (Nick), Erika Eriksen (O'Shea Webster), Avery, Katelyn Hand, Samantha Moreno, Raini Sutton (Ray Schmid), Raymond Michael DeLoa (Morgan), Zac DeLoa, Joseph Moreno, Michael Moreno and Ryan Sutton (Amanda Crawford); his great grandchildren, Harper, Emilia, Wyatt, Ruby, Hadleigh, Raymond, Carter, Neely, Adelyn and Aliyah; and his siblings, Claire Thomsen of Pender, NE, Dan Monahan (RoseAnn), Kevin Monahan (Jo) of Sioux City, IA, Tim Monahan (Patty Jenkins) of Jackson, NE and Veronica Roberts (Dave). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews & friends.
