He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Emma Lou, Vandell Grim, Iola and Chet Salmen; and his father-in-law Boyd Hoefer.
He is survived by: his father Charles Salmen; his wife Shawn; his daughter Nisa Salmen (Miles Scott); his grandson Ezra Weiss; his son Egin Salmen (Lily Torrez); his grandson Apollo Salmen; his mother Iris Hofling (Grim); his stepparents, Greg Hofling and Marcella Salmen; and his siblings, Jodi Nelson (George), Tara Salmen (Jason), Jeni Davis (Eric), Brant Salmen and Lucas Brandt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
