She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Byrne and Mary Byrne (Lucart); her former husband Dennis "Mick" McKenna; her children, Michael and Melissa; her husband Brent Hoefer; her grandchildren, Siera, Elias, Sebastian Vargas, Aiden, Conor, Lucas McKenna and Sadie Meattey; her sisters, Vicki Lee (Chuck), Kim Davis (George), Cheryl Gray (Bill), Elizabeth Schoepfer (Harold), Kris Byrne, Kendra Howe (Brian) and Linda Davis; and her friends, Connie Traum Finley and Penny Perez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City (4125 Orleans Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106). A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cresent Park United Methodist Church (2826 Myrtle St, Sioux City, IA 51103).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crescent Park Global Methodist Church.
