Mike Kennedy Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Mike Kennedy (Sioux City, Iowa) is shared. Mike, born on December 23, 1942, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Kennedy and Dewey Kennedy; his siblings, Jean, Mary Lou, Edith and Tom; his in-laws, Jack and Hazel Schumacher; and his brother-in-law Steven Schumacher.
He is survived by: his wife Janis; his children, Jeff (Jody) and Lisa (Rich); his grandchildren, Jack, Andy, Daniel and Karly; and his sisters, Linda and Karen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A vigil service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (5010 Military Rd, Sioux City, IA 51103).
