He was predeceased by: his father Jim Shay (Jim); his grandparents, Thomas, Elsie McDonald, Ernest and Winnifred Shay; and his father-in-law Daniel Ouelette.
He is survived by: his mother Dolores Shay (McDonald); his wife Donna Ouellette; his sisters, Joni Sokolowski (Mike), Sergeant Bluff and Monica Harty (John); his mother-in-law Violet Dietz; and his sister-in-law Viola Workman (Jon) of Ohio. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
