He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chesher and Gladys Louise Chesher (Paulsen); and his brothers, Patrick "Pat" Chesher and Thomas "Tom" Chesher. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Chesher; his children, Vonda Hilliard (Kerwin) of Onawa, Cynthia "Cindy" Chesher of Dakota City and Sean Chesher of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Nicole Chesher, Dalton Chesher, Emily Chesher, Sabrina Rose, Vivica Chesher, Eve Chesher of Kerwin and Ke'Von Hilliard; and his brothers, Mike Chesher (Lisa) of Sergeant Bluff and Jeff Chesher of Sioux City. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (2223 Indian Hills Dr, Sioux City, IA 51104). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Calvary Cemetery (2802 Casselman St, Sioux City, IA 51103).
