He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nicolls and Ardith Nicolls (Thompson); his wife Judy; his son-in-law Steven Sample; and his sisters, Evelyn, Arlene, Louise and Sandy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Kamradt (Ken) of Sioux City, Julie Sample of Sioux City and Nancy Nicolls (Chris Bubba Matthews) of Sioux City; his granddaughter Katie Warner (James) of Ponca; his great grandchildren, Belle and Declan; and his brothers, Jack Nicolls, Wayne Nicolls (Patty), Tom Nicolls and Larry Nicolls.
