He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Haller and Kay Haller (Duryea); his parents-in-law, Albert and Clara Pietz; his sister Barb Griffith; his brothers-in-law, Ron Pietz and Bruce Sturzl; and his nieces, Stephanie Griffith and Anne Pietz.

He is survived by: his wife Mary of Paul's Lutheran Church; his son Mike (Amy) of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Grant, Caitlyn, Jackson and Bennett; his son Matt (Sarah) of Springville; his grandchildren, Clara and Nolan; his sisters, Deb Sturzl, Patty Walters (Gary), Cathy McClary (Rob) and Carrie Knapp (Dave); his aunt Cheri Archer; his siblings-in-law, Steve Griffith, Carolyn Pietz and Marlene Pietz; and his close friends, Steve and Mary. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
