With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vernon E. Hartung (Sioux City, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hartung and Hilda Hartung (Rohwer); his daughter Rhonda Lynn Hartung; his son-in-law Michael Anderson; his brothers, Marvin and Ralph; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Leona Meier.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie A. Meier; his daughters, Patti Lauritsen (Gene) of Beatrice, NE, Rochelle Maxfield (Kirk) of Sioux City, IA and Janine Anderson of Cave Creek, AZ.; his grandchildren, Brett (Kelli), Matthew (Allison), Shelby (Matthew), Steven and Molly (Keegan); and his great grandchildren, Danny, Mikey, Lilly, Luke, Stella, Brooklyn, Azzy, Maddie, Olenna and Jude.
