With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenda L. Barbour-DeCamp of Slater, Iowa, who passed away on November 26, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Karpan and Sarah Karpan (Laws); her husband Jack D Barbour; her former life partner Donald DeCamp; and her brother Matt.

She is survived by : her sons, Michael Barbour (Patty) of Madrid, Jerry Barbour of Slater, Jack Barbour of Slater and Patrick Barbour of Madrid; her siblings, Kristy Lyons (Ralph) of Kirksville, MO, John Karpan (Nancy) of Tucson, AZ and Bobby Karpan (Kim) of Dallas, IA.; her grandchildren, David Barbour (Alyssa), Stephanie Quillen, Krystina Long (Andy), Ciara Barbour and Courtney Barbour; and her great grandchildren, Tessa, Maddison, Katelyn, Carter, Colten, Chloe and Abraham. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phyllis Murphy wrote a sympathy message

“I'm so sorry for your loss as Glenda was a 1955 classmate of mine. We had lots of fun in school while playing basketball, proms, and in the Melcher High School marching band! She was always kind and had a smile on her face. She loved coming to our alumni reunions. God bless all of you. Phyllis Rehor Murphy”
