Lois Marie Klonglan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Marie Klonglan of Slater, Iowa, who passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerhard Vespestad and Beulah Vespestad; her fiancé Donald Klonglan; and her sisters, Katherine Saveraid and Evelyn Lantz.
She is survived by: her son Robert (Judy); her grandchildren, Joel Klonglan and Jennifer (Brian Armogan); her great grandchildren, Abby and Elise; her siblings, Esther Richardson of Madrid, Elmer Vespestad of Slater and Ron Vespestad of Waukee; and her brothers-in-law, Monte Lantz (Gloria) of Huxley and Paul Klonglan (Kathy) of Des Moines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Soderstrum Funeral Home - Slater (312 Main St, Slater, IA 50244). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Wesley on Grand in Des Moines where she lived the past 5 years or Wesley Life Hospice.
