He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Jenkins and Alice Jenkins (Byers); his wife Blanche Hickmon-Clayton Jenkins; his sons, Denny Clayton and Greg Clayton; his children-in-law, Marlene Clayton and Bob Hyden; his siblings, Joann Jenkins and Douglas Jenkins; and his brother-in-law Fred Hemmrich.
He is survived by: his children, Don Clayton, Kevin Clayton (Cathy), Roxanne Hyden and Jan Hubert (Steve); his daughter-in-law Cathy Clayton; and his siblings, Glenn Jenkins, Jr., Phillip Jenkins (Linda), Betty Hickman (Steve), Charlotte Hemmrich, Lester Jenkins (Jane), Karen Jenkins and Leann Jenkins. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Church of Christ (502 Beall St, Sloan, IA 51055). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
