He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Shaffer and Dorothy Shaffer (Lund); his sister Cathy Dick; and his nephew Jason Shaffer. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Shaffer of Soldier, Iowa; his children, Tracy Huisenga (Bobby) of Onawa and Michelle (Jessie) of Ute, Iowa; his grandsons, Dustin Landon (Alysha Mesenbrink) of Castana, Tyler Landon (Meghann Sudsbury) of Ute and Cody Landon of Soldier, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Brayden Koch, Jaxson Landon, Pyper Landon, Kade Landon and Bronson Landon; his grandchildren, Shelby Mauch, Riley Mauch and Jax Conyers; his siblings, Dwight Shaffer (Judy) of Whiting, Gerald Shaffer (Elaine) of Onawa and Laura Butler (Mike) of Soldier, Iowa; and his brother-in-law Arles Dick. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
