She is survived by: her daughters, Heather Woodford and Catherine Schaffer; her grandchildren, Tyler Woodford and Chelsey Case-Woodford; her brothers, Gary Werle and Jeff Werle; and her aunt Mitzi Watson.
She had a deep love for animals and made it a tradition each Christmas to donate to the Iowa City Animal Shelter, a quiet act of kindness that meant so much to her.
