He is survived by: his mother Bernadine Louise McCombs; his wife Jane Louise Minnaert of Solon, Iowa; his sister Carolyn Elwood (Michael) of North English, Iowa; his sisters-in-law, June Davis (Jeff) of Kearney and Kathy Minnaert of Brooklyn, Iowa; and his nieces and nephews, Kathryn Moreland (Joe) of Iowa City, Beth Elwood of Ankeny, Anne Gross (Jeff) of St. Louis, Shawn Minnaert (Heidi) of Brooklyn, Kari Ernst (Thaine) of Fallon, Nate Minnaert (Cassie) of Brooklyn and Jake Davis (Jennifer) of Kearney, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Youth Hunter/Wildlife Education Programs or the Cedar Rapids Mercy Hall-Perrine Cancer Center 3rd Floor Oncology Department.
