It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert James Kabela of Solon, Iowa, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Kabela and Agnes Kabela (Buchmayer); his wife Shirley; and his brothers, Paul and Lawrence.
He is survived by : his children, Mike Kabela (Shelby) of Solon and Cheryl Hansen (Mike) of Fort Collins, Colo.; his grandchildren, Brick, Jack, Beckitt, Brooks, Lainey and Briar; and his siblings, Darlene Brant of Atkins and Don Kabela of Solon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Robert Kabela: University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Nursing Excellence Fund, Solon Retirement Village Foundation, Alzheimer's Association (Iowa Chapter).
