With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Ann Smith (Spencer, Iowa), born in Ringsted, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Speck and Elenor Speck; and her husband David Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Darrin (Christy) of Estherville, IA and Kevin (Pamela) of Columbia, MO; her grandchildren, Jessica (Dustin), Jay (Kaitlin), Jonah (Josi), Erika, Cooper (Reagan) and Benton; her great grandchildren, Janessa, Beau and Lennox; and her sister Joanna Mingus (Clayton).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Warner Funeral Home-Spencer (225 W 3rd St, Spencer, IA 51301). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
