It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Joe Nelson (Spencer, Iowa), who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Charles Nelson; and his brother Pat. He is survived by : his mother Kay Nelson (Rustad) of Spencer, IA; his wife Shelly Elsbury of Dickens, IA; his daughter Ellie Mueller (Morgan) of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren, Charlie and Cora; and his sister Judy Male (Clyde) of Summerset, WI. He is also survived by other relatives; and many friends.
