He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVern Arndt and Evelyn Flack Arndt; his wives, Peggy Hinders and Linda Bryant; his granddaughter Dixie Norgaard; and his siblings, LaVone Vadd and Bob Arndt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Lea Arndt Stangel of Grand Rapids, MN and Tricia Lynn Arndt Norgaard of Dickens, IA; and his siblings, Cherie Frey (Bob) of Gretna, NE and Daryl Arndt of Cleghorn, NE. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Warner Funeral Home-Spencer (225 W 3rd St, Spencer, IA 51301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Dickens United Methodist Church (301 East St, Dickens, IA 51333). A burial was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at the Dickens Cemetery.
