With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Rae Fear (Spencer, Iowa), who passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Herman Fick and Alma Fick (Hirt); her husband Dawain Fear; and her brother Arvid Fick. She is survived by : her children, Craig Steven (Debbie) and Cathy Petersen of Lincoln, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Ryan Fear (Emily) of Mountlake Terrace, Michael Fear of Urbandale and Catelyn Meysenburg (Nick) of Omaha; and her great grandchildren, Beau, Hadley Meysenburg and Adeline Fear.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made in Joan's memory to the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation.
