He is survived by: his son Jim Higgins (Tammy) of Spencer, Iowa; his sisters, Margaret DeGarmo of Storm Lake and Edna Miller of Des Moines; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond Drey of Ida Grove and Pat Bengford of Sioux City. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
