We are sad to announce that, on August 31, 2025, Leonard Eugene Rust (Spencer, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Merla; his parents, Harland and Annie; and his siblings, Lorraine, Don and Darlene.
He is survived by: his children, Dan (Barb) of Pinehurst, NC and Jill Sievers (Mark) of Cameron, MO.; his grandchildren, Evan (Laura) of Raleigh, NC, Mollie White (Colton) of Blue Springs, MO, Emily Rust (Scott Bullins) of Omaha, NE and Quinton Sievers (Katie) of Belton, MO; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Conrad, Henry, Arlo and Charles; and his brother Lester Rust. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ruthven Community Care Center in memory of Leonard Rust.
