He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Schmeling (Mom) and Melvin Lloyd Banks Sr. (Agnes); his siblings, George, JoAnn, Ronnie (Carol), Vernon (Virginia) and Gary (Mary); and his nephew Rodney.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Colette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
