He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore McCord and Anna McCord (Schon); his father-in-law Dan Glaser; and his close friend Skip Vanderpool. He is survived by : his wife Danelle Glaser of Spencer, Iowa; his children, Devan McCord of Spencer, Paige VanVeldhuizen (Charlie), Marshall McCord (Alyx) of Spencer and Brittany Jenssen (Alex) of Royal, Iowa; his nephew Anthony Roth (Tiffany) of Webb, Iowa; his grandchildren, Aurora, Teddie, Cash, Axel and Kaya; his siblings, Dick McCord (Deanne) of Spencer, Steve McCord of Peterson, Iowa, Judy McCord (Barney) of Spencer and Sandi Raveling (Chris) of Peterson, Iowa; and his mother-in-law Virginia Glaser of Spencer, Iowa. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Mike McCord Benefit Fund at Farmer's Bank in Spencer.
