He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bendlin and Laura Bendlin (Cunningham). He is survived by: his brothers, Donald and Benjamin Bendlin; his daughters, Tessa Bendlin, Amber Cowell (Nathan), Haley Menken (Kris) and Ashley Bendlin; and his grandchildren, Dax Ginger, Rayne Cowell, Aria Cowell and Alex Cowell.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
