He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carter and Marlys Carter of Spencer, Iowa.; and his sister Dorothy Thelma Carter. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Carter of Spencer, Iowa; his children, Jeremy Carter (Kaitlin) of Mankato, Kristy Riley (Cavon) of Webb, Brittany Grimes (Kevin) of Los Angeles and Christopher Carter of Lemars, Iowa.; his grandchildren, Elise, Pierce, Bergen, Forest Carter of Mankato, Minnesota, Keagen, Khloe, Benton and Riley of Webb, Iowa.; and his sisters, Crystal Hanson (Tim) of Guthrie and Denyse Tygret (Richard) of Cheyenne, Wyoming.. He is also survived by several other family members, as well as many close friends.
From there, he became a committed member of the Foundation Church, where he found a community of faith and fellowship that enriched his life, and the lives of those around him.
