He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hartig and Velma Hartig. He is survived by: his siblings, Tom, Ron and Wanda Johnson; his grandchildren, Alyssa Rusch, Molly Hartig, Ryan, Aaron Downing, Ruslana, Mila, Nahstya, Alexander and Austin Trpkosh; his great grandchildren, Declan Riedesal and Brooks Belding; his wife Carol Prince; and his children, Dave (Melissa) and Angie (Daniel). He is also survived by 2 brothers, a sister, cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Warner Funeral Homes & Crematory (225 W 3rd St, Spencer, IA 51301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hope Church (919 Grand Ave, Spencer, IA 51301). A burial will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at the Spencer Golf & Country Club (2200 W 18th St, Spencer, IA 51301).
