He is survived by: his mother Janet Ann Tryon of Ames, Iowa; his wife Connie Tryon; his children, Aaron Kruse of Kansas City, Kansas and Katie Tryon of Elkhorn, Nebraska; his siblings, Jodie Stokke (Doug) of Story City, Iowa, Donnie Tryon of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Dave Tryon (Michelle) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; and his nieces and nephews, Melody Rudolph (Nicholas), Janine Tate (Alex) of Kansas City, Kansas, Michael Kruse of Estherville, Iowa, Mark Kruse (Cathy) of Williston, Karla Kruse of Spirit Lake, Iowa, AJ Tate (Senita) of Kansas City, Kansas, Zachary Tate of Kansas City, Kansas, Carson Kruse (Jean) of Williston, Carly Kruse of Bosnia, Adjoni Parker of San Jose, California and Justin Parker of San Jose, California. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (3501 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at 1605 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Merle Hay Cemetery.
