He is survived by: his wife Laura Johnson of Spirit Lake; his sons, Shawn Johnson (Lavinia) of Maple Grove, MN and Christopher Steven Johnson of Mexico City, Mexico; his sister Joyce Spieker of Spencer, IA; his grandson Finley Johnson; his brother-in-law Joseph "Joe" Chambers; and his nephews, Robert "Bob" Erdman of Spencer, IA, Jeremy Spieker (Lindsey) of Nevada, IA and Justin Spieker (Brittany) of Spencer, IA. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
