In the sacred silence of farewell, Steven is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Steven's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Turnquist, Jr. and Joan Turnquist; and his significant other Linda Cook. He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Turnquist (Blankenburg); his daughter Jamie Turnquist; his granddaughters, Jaelyn Turnquist and Amrielle Castro; his daughter Samantha Turnquist (Jacob Wallace); and his sisters, Terri Kinstler (Kyle) and Enean Mattis (Garth Servis).
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home (2317 32nd St, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
