He was predeceased by: his parents, Florian Scheckel and Olga Scheckel (Clasen); his siblings, Mahlon Scheckel (Mary) and Leanna Kilburg (Loras); his nephew Keith Lundin; his great-niece Desiree Lundin; and his brothers-in-law, Ardell Schmidt and Eugene Stemper.
He is survived by: his sister Saverna "Sis" Stemper.
A memorial fund has been established in David's memory designated to his favorite charities.
