With sadness, we share the passing of Sylvia Marie Moore of Stanley, Iowa. Sylvia, born on January 15, 1938 in Estherville, Iowa, passed away on June 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Erickson and Marie Erickson (Carlsen); her brothers, Mert, Sam and Ed; her stepmother DeEtta; and her stepbrother James Herbrandson.
She is survived by: her husband Don Moore; her daughters, Kay Huntimer (Ron) and Eileen Koenigsberg (Jon); her grandchildren, Angela Van Bochove (Brad), Elizabeth Folger (Jared), Regina Barnett (Triston), Ian Koenigsberg (Melanie), Niles Koenigsberg (Isabel) and Madeleine Koenigsberg; her great grandchildren, Tori, Rayna, Lucas, Jaxon, Henri, Erixon, Spencer, Trixie, Fitz and Hendrix; her siblings, Renee St (Dan), Judy Schmitz (Dave), Ellen Petersen (John), Kathy Bremer, Dave and Kermit Erickson (Marlene); her stepsiblings, DeWayne Herbrandson (Ruth) and Patsy Bode (John); and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Erickson, Karen Erickson and Maureen Blilie. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer, or Dementia Research.
