Terri Derflinger Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 68, Terri Derflinger of Stanley, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Terri Derflinger to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Youngblut and Maye Youngblut (Blumenshine); her father-in-law Dwight "Don" Derflinger; her daughter-in-law Callie Derflinger; and her pet Molly.

She is survived by: her husband David Derflinger of Stanley; her son Dustin Derflinger (Cassie) of Johnston; her grandchildren, Parker, Brooks, Joshua, Este, Ruby, Jonathan and Isla; her son Dana Derflinger (Janice) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Dawson, Dillon and Alayna; her children, Tia Derflinger (Adam Meirick) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Devin Derflinger (Olya) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Justin and Baby Valentina; her mother-in-law Delma Derflinger of Aurora; her siblings, Daniel Youngblut of Spirit Lake and Anne Jeanette Youngblut; and her siblings-in-law, Mike, Donise Recker of Oelwein, Wayne and Charlotte Haddy of Coralville.

She volunteered at her church, she made masks and gave vaccinations during Covid 19, she collected donations for Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minnesota and also for various local shelters and most recently she worked at the Plentiful Pantry to provide food for those in need.

Memorials may be directed in her name to MercyOne Oelwein Auxiliary, MercyOne Breast Care Center or the Buchanan County Animal Shelter.
