John Otto Schultz Obituary

We announce the death of John Otto Schultz (Stanton, Iowa), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 87. John Otto will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Schultz and Elva Schultz (Danielson); and his wife Grace Koerte of Lihue. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Johnson (Chris) of Sidney, IA, John Schultz (Lynn) of Omaha, NE and Dawn Dramse (Dave) of Wayne, NE; his grandchildren, Abby Wederquist (Chris) of Tabor, IA, Brandon Johnson (Kami) of Treynor, IA, Kylee Schultz of Omaha, NE, Akela Dramse of Omaha, NE, Jaden Dramse of Fremont, NE and Samuel Dramse of Wayne, NE; and his great grandchildren, Tristyn Johnson, Haydin Johnson, Otto Wederquist, Raif Wederquist, Kora Wederquist and Lyta Wederquist. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church (410 Eastern Ave, Stanton, IA 51573). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Mamre Cemetery.
