With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elsie Ione Schafer of Storm Lake, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 18, 2025 at the age of 79. As Elsie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Elsie. Though Elsie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Leach and Elsie Leach; her siblings, Martha Hegdahl, Fancheon Sheldon and Frank "Buddy" Leach; her son-in-law David Schultz; and her grandsons, Riley Schultz and Joshua Fowler.
She is survived by: her husband Jim of Methodist Manor; her daughters, April Holm of Storm Lake, IA and Misty Schultz-McCoy (Dan McCoy) of Longmont, CO; and her grandson Logan Schafer (Savannah) of Holstein, IA..
