She was predeceased by: her parents, Stella Johnson (Lucas) and Nels William Johnson; her husband Richard Britton (Dick); her son Michael; her granddaughter Danna Rains; and her son-in-law Brian Rule.

She is survived by: her children, Terry Britton of Story City, Tracy Rule (Brian) of Roland, Mark Britton of Arlington, Lisa Britton of Story City and Jon Britton of Polk City; her grandchildren, Renee Rule of Ames, Jesse Knutson of Story City, Katie Brandt (Nick) of Westminster, Sarah Hovick (Nathan) of Roland, Ashley Green of Nevada and Kimberly Britton of Des Moines; her sister Lou Anne Foster (Ted) of Summerville; and her sibling's children, Mike Foster (Jenny) of Summerville and Vicki Barts (Kevin) of Wisconsin. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
