He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Meyer and Mildred Meyer (Fischer); his wife Brenda Meyer; his son Nicholas Meyer; his brother Thomas Meyer; his nephews, Nathan Chopard and Dan Meyer; his niece Jenny Grundmeyer; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Grundmeyer and Paul Chopard.
He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Brantner (Kyle) of Madison, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Bryant Meyer-Kemp, Alexis Nading, Claire Nading, Kaleb Thomas and Anya Dinger; his daughter-in-law Julie Kemp; and his siblings, Joan Streight (Gerald) of Dubuque, Kay Burr (Ronald) of Marshalltown, Bill Meyer (Diana) of Elkader, Larry Meyer (Connie) of Strawberry Point, George Meyer (Ellen) of Strawberry Point, Pat Chopard of Edgewood, Julie Sandhagen (Ray) of Edgewood and Rick Meyer (Sue) of Strawberry Point. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
