She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Laverman and Matje Laverman (Van Arkel); her parents-in-law, Walter and Irene Vander Leest; her siblings, Clarence Laverman and Catherine De Penning; and her siblings-in-law, Pauline Laverman, Wilbur De Penning and Karen Vander Leest.
She is survived by: her husband Arland Vander Leest of Sully; her sons, Randy Vander Leest (Joyce) of Woodward, Brent Vander Leest (Sheila) of Sully and Kirk Vander Leest (Maggie) of Downers Grove; her grandchildren, Neal Vander Leest (Rochelle), Amy Navrkal, Adam Vander Leest (Lori), Jamie Linderman (JJ), Tyler Vander Leest, Greta Vander Leest, Olivia Vander Leest, Jacob Vander Leest and Owen Vander Leest; and her siblings-in-law, Merlyn Vander Leest (Dorothy), Duane Vander Leest, Sandra Vande Krol (Daniel) and Warren Vander Leest (Mary). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: East Iowa Bible Camp, Sully Community Church Missions or Lynnville-Sully Community Education Foundation.
