Freddie Schmidt Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Freddie Schmidt (Sully, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schmidt and Lenora Schmidt (Kooistra); his wife Helen Vander Leest; his parents-in-law, Cornelius and Mary Vander Leest; his great grandchild Hosannah Goodrich; his grandson-in-law Steve Squires; and his siblings, Mary Lois Vande Krol (Earl), Barbara Sexton (Bob), Norma Jean Conover (Bruce) and Sam Schmidt (Rosemary).

Memorials may be given to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or the East Iowa Bible Camp.
