With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Matura of Sumner, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2025 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jeffrey has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Anthony and Noreen Linda Matura (Peters). He is survived by: his partner Mardith Olson; his children, Reed Matura of Sumner and Lauren Janssen (Brady) of Fairbank, Iowa; his grandchildren, Sloane Janssen and Sutton Janssen; and his siblings, Bob Matura of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Michelle Simons (Jeff) of Vero Beach, Florida.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Redman Funeral & Cremation Services, Aplington Funeral Chapel (514 9th St, Aplington, IA 50604). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the American Legion Hall (113 E 1st St, Sumner, IA 50674).
