She was predeceased by: her parents, John Overweg and Hattie Overweg (Voetberg); and her granddaughter Jacquline Kots. She is survived by: her husband Darwin Kots of Sutherland; her children, Doreen, Eric Mantor of Lake Havasu, Carla, Eddie Anderson of Yoder, Terry Kots of Rosenberg, Julie, James Lane of Calhan and Ron Kots of Sutherland; and her brothers, Dennis and John Overweg. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Christ Community Church (American Reformed Church) (280 1st St NW, Primghar, IA 51245).
