He is survived by: his children, Lisa Smith-Hard (Russ) of Van Horne, Troy Smith of Cedar Rapids and Cody Smith (Alicia) of Solon; his grandchildren, Dallas, Tucker (Maze), Jared, Jayce, Jaxson, Josie, Piper and Quincey; his siblings, Arlene Irving and Ed Smith (Marlene); and his brother-in-law Richard Carpenter (Cindy Menefee). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
