She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys "Makodi" Buffalo (Buffalo) and Phillip Benson Sr.; her brothers, Robert Benson and Philip Benson Jr.; her uncles, Michael Buffalo, Milo Buffalo and George Buffalo; and her nephews, Richard Benson and Robert Benson Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Celeste Tyon-Borrego (Rudy), Cheyenne Tyon and Skywalker Tyon; her grandchildren, Asia Roberts, Isabella Borrego, Cristina Borrego, Jalen "Dugee" Tyon, Krystle Tyon, Courage Tyon, Jamison Tyon, Aubrey Brooks Tyon, Sterling "Bubu" Tyon, Oseola Tyon, Kaytrin Lasley, Jordanna Tyon and Ruby Davenport; and her brothers, Clyde Wanatee, Tony Wasekuk and Rudy Papakee. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
