She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hrstka and Emma Hrstka (Kubalek); her husband Robert L. O'Connor; her grandson K. C. O'Connor; and her siblings, Helen Herink, Mildred Benda, Lucille Yilek, Arthur Hrstka and Paul Hrstka.
She is survived by: her children, David O'Connor (Joni) of Toledo, Carol O'Connor of Tama and Mary Reid (Gary) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Jenelle Veit (Andrew), Mindi Koehler, Rob Hill (Brittany) and Ross Hill (Beth); her great grandchildren, Lauren, Vanessa, VinLee Veit, Emma, Boden Koehler, Roman Hill, Ryder Shefchik and Hudson Hill; and her sister Eva Kasal of Tama. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (900 Park St, Tama, IA 52339). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund will be established.
