He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Johnson and Darlene Johnson (Collins); his son Jeremy Johnson; and his brother-in-law Douglas Currier. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Tester of Brooklyn; his son Jamie Johnson (Anna) of Tama; his stepchildren, Erin Tankoos (Robert) of North Carolina and Adrienne Bethel of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Danielle Johnson (Josh Casey) of Tama, Destinie Johnson (Christian Potter) of Toledo and Dasia Johnson of Tama; his stepgrandchildren, Reagan, Robert Tankoos and Braelyn Bethel; his great grandchildren, Alana and Jase Casey; his brothers, Delmar Johnson Jr. of Waterloo and Gary Johnson of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings-in-law, Pamela Allen, Rebecca Sharlow (Gary), Cathy Campbell Currier, Kimberly Currier and Brian Currier (Jill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
