He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldon Koehler and Arlene Koehler (Slack); his son William; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Propst, Lani Jo, Dean Propst and Ron Best.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Koehler of Tama; his children, Corey Koehler of Toledo, Emma Koehler (Carter) and Boden Koehler (Mary Kate); his daughter-in-law Rachael Koehler; his grandchildren, Preston Koehler and Witten Koehler; his daughter Kristin Cook (Jeff) of Nevada; his granddaughters, Kylie Cook (Brian) and Kaitlyn Cook (Aidan); his sister Connie Melugin (Jack) of Waterloo; his sisters-in-law, Sonja Pruisner of Surprise, AZ and Terri Best of Aplington; and his siblings, Virginia Richardson of Horn Lake, MS, B. J. Smith of Oelwein, Ron Smith of Parkersburg, Mike Smith and Everett Siddell of Gladbrook. He is also survived by niece and many nephews.
